“Cambridge Nanjing Forum” is a series of high-level events hosted by Cambridge University-Nanjing Centre of Technology and Innovation (CUNJC). The 2021 Symposium on Brain Science and Brain-inspired Research was the first academic one, held on 14th-15th September 2021 in Nanjing of China and aired via Zoom simultaneously. To echo the globally spread initiative and enthusiasm on brain science research, the “ultimate territory” of mankind, CUNJC actively invited 7 top scholars from Chinese universities and 8 leading researchers from University of Cambridge to deliver 15 cutting-edge and cross-disciplinary presentations spanning from computing and artificial intelligence, automation and precision instruments, information optics, biological science and medical engineering, clinical neuroscience, biochemistry, etc. This international academic conversation marks a good milestone and strengthens CUNJC’s role as a hub to facilitate potential collaboration between China and Cambridge on brain science and brain-inspired research, and further contributes to global exchange, industrial development and original innovation.
