Abstract

Here we present the uptake behaviour of mechanochemically synthesised crystalline HOIPs, of the form [TAlA][M(dca)3] (TAlA= tetraalkylammonium, M= Mn2+ and Fe2+, dca= [C2N3-] (dicyanamide)), and their stable melt quenched glassy derivatives. The intrinsic semiconducting nature of these materials, alongside their response to environmentally relevant stimuli was explored using UV-Vis spectroscopy.
