Abstract

Herein, we show that aminoboranes can be electrochemically oxidized, they can quench the photoexcited state of common fluorophores, but they do not form thermodynamically favorable adducts with weak Lewis bases. These results are expected to guide the future discovery of next-generation direct aminoboration reactions under mild conditions.
