Assistant Professor (Adjunct, ICCBS) / Research COFUND Fellow (Cardiff University)
Nisar Ahmed is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC). He obtained his Ph.D (2012) in organic chemistry from the POSTECH (Korea) with a Brain Korea Fellowship working in the group of Prof. Kwang S. Kim on synthetic receptors for molecular recognition of phosphorylated moieties. Further, he received the highly competitive Novartis NIBR Postdoctoral Fellowship (2013-2015) at the University of Zurich (Switzerland) working on the iterative synthesis of phosphorylated natural products. Subsequently, he joined the research groups of Prof. Varinder K. Aggarwal and Prof. Anthony P. Davis at the University of Bristol (2015-2016) as a senior research associate working on Lithiation-borylation chemistry & peptide self-replication. In late 2016, he was awarded a prestigious Marie Curie COFUND fellowship to commence his research career in microflow electrosynthesis at the Cardiff University (UK). In 2018 he was appointed adjunct faculty at the ICCBS.
