Quantum Chemical Topology as a Theory of Open Quantum Systems
Preprints are manuscripts made publicly available before they have been submitted for formal peer review and publication. They might contain new research findings or data. Preprints can be a draft or final version of an author's research but must not have been accepted for publication at the time of submission.
We show how Quantum Chemical Topology can be interpreted within the Theory of Open Quantum Systems. Chemical bonding can then be understood as a consequence of entanglement. The computational implementation is based on the PROMOLDEN code, which is available upon request from the same authors.
