This content is a preprint and has not undergone peer review at the time of posting.

Abstract

The synthesis and characterisation of complexes featuring intramolecular CF3➞Rh(III) interactions is described. This bonding is evidenced in the solid state using X-ray diffraction, with Rh–F contacts of 2.36 – 2.45 Å, and in solution using NMR spectroscopy, through detection of time-averaged 1JRhF and 2JPF coupling.
